How it started

It began with two birthday presents.

When our first founders were in third grade, they decided to donate their birthday gifts to a local foster home, His House. Then they learned their own uncle had grown up in that very home — and took it as a sign to do more.

Year after year they kept giving. But over time they realized the kids didn't just need presents — they needed guidance: someone to show them what's possible and walk with them toward it. So they built a 100% volunteer-run program to do exactly that. Every dollar puts a star back in reach.

Aging out of care shouldn't mean facing the world alone. We're a 100% volunteer-run program that meets foster youth where they are and helps them climb toward the future they want. Every dollar puts a star back in reach.

Career days

Immersive days that expose youth to a wide range of jobs and industries — so 'what do you want to be?' finally has options behind it.

Workshops & guest speakers

Hands-on sessions at the foster home led by professionals who share their story, their craft, and the road they took.

Paid internships & jobs

We connect youth directly with companies for paid internships and real job opportunities — experience and income at once.

Scholarships & college

For those aiming higher, we help find scholarships and resources to make college a plan, not just a dream.

Bill's journey of hope

A life that proves it

Your past does not define your future.

Bill Edwards entered foster care at one year old. Separated from six siblings, moving from home to home, he faced uncertainty no child should face alone. At twelve he started working for fifty cents an hour.

Sports gave him structure — and the grades they required gave him a way up. He earned a college scholarship, surrounded by influences that could have pulled him under.

“It's all about the choices you're given — and it's up to you to make the right one.”

Today Bill is a retired professional, husband, and father in West Broward. His life is proof of what these kids can become — with faith, support, and someone who believes in them.
